Medal of Bloodshed: Suspiria (1977)

Here in MoB, we salute those terrifying murders that gets embroiled to our noggins, whether the movie is good, super good or super trash.

Here, we get a good looky-look at Dario Argento's supernatural-mystery masterpiece "Suspiria". Ten minutes since the opening credits, we're treated to a visually violent and satisfying double murder of a lone witness of  her dance school's little secret and her unlucky gal pal.

After seeking refuge to her friend's dorm, the girl locks herself in a room, fearing an attacker, but unknown to her, the killer decides to crash in instead. After forcing her face to crash through the window (with an incredibly funny face), the attacker continues to jab a knife to her chest, until her heart fully exposed, on top of a stained-glass ceiling. After stabbing her near-death, the killer wraps (and forces to her side) a telephone wire around her, and, as the stained glass ceiling gave up on the dead woman's weight, we get an undoubtedly "overkill" by hanging.

If that wasn't bad enough, her panicking friend watches all the horror until her dead pal's head poking out of the ceiling, only to have the falling glass shards and metal debris fall on top of her, impaling her on the eye, chest and neck.

Well, done Argento, well done, I just hope you hadn't lost your magic touch yet...
